Treasurer asks county to consider sponsoring Ruby Mountain Resource Center fundraiser; board members offer personal support

She described the center's history, saying it began in 1969 and is "near and dear" to her, and asked whether the county could provide sponsorship.

Committee members discussed whether county sponsorship was appropriate or whether individual donations were preferable; one member said the county should not sponsor and recommended individual contributions, while at least one member offered a personal sponsorship. No formal county action was taken on the request; the chair noted the request had been submitted too late to appear on the current agenda and could be brought back at a future meeting for formal consideration.
