Staff explained the AV upgrade pricing had increased above the original budget because the historical building required additional electrical work and a more integrated visual system. Judge Walt Weaver, who earlier described the need to present digital evidence to juries and the need to manage jury access to some displays, told the court the system is more than a "TV" and requires integrated components and electrical modifications. "So much of our evidence now is on TV, body cams, paperwork, digital stuff," Weaver said, explaining the scope increase.
The court voted to approve Tarpley Media's work at $109,015.17 and to award the electrical portion to David Moore for $23,500 (noting material cost adjustments may be possible after 45 days). Both motions were approved in recorded votes during the meeting.
