Highway Superintendent John Pluimer opened sealed bids for county road resurfacing on Jan. 21. The bids recorded in the minutes were: Brooks Construction $924,984.00; E & B Paving $1,085,035.05; Midwest Paving $1,219,969.69; and DC Construction Services $1,426,239.60. Pluimer asked the commission to take the bids under advisement and to defer awarding the contract until the Feb. 3, 2025 meeting.
The minutes do not record bid tabulation by individual roads or funding sources; commissioners did not vote on an award at the Jan. 21 meeting. The decision was deferred to allow staff time to review bids and supporting documents.
