County Administrator Keith C. Rogers, Jr., reported that Vision Government Solutions (listed as Vision Software in meeting materials) is the contractor for the County reassessment and that key deliverables — including the land book and property data — have not yet been provided. He said letters to residents were sent without official county verification and outlined required steps before completion, including receipt of deliverables, a public hearing and formal advertising.
Vice-Chairman Ryan Patterson asked for clarification on the contractor and the Board previously voted to shift the reassessment cycle from four to five years, with the reassessment now due by December 2026. The Administrator said next steps include approving or updating the contractor agreement to reflect the new deadline, sending a letter and timeline to residents, launching a reassessment FAQ/website, and scheduling a community meeting to explain the process.
Residents at the meeting urged clearer communication and follow-up on reassessment results. The County’s summary notes deliverables remain outstanding and procedural steps — including a public hearing and any necessary equalization — must be completed before the reassessment is finalized.
