Floyd County Health Department director Charlotte Bass requested a $20,000 H5N1 supplement grant to cover advertising ($10,000) and institutional/medical supplies ($10,000); the council approved the grant unanimously. The council also approved an $82,168 additional appropriation for FC Building Office maintenance to cover contractual services ($7,507), insurance ($8,200), utilities ($65,267) and repairs and maintenance ($1,194).
Both items were approved without recorded opposition and will be implemented by the health department and the auditor’s office, respectively. The meeting record lists the FC Building Office Maintenance fund balance as $56,930.94 prior to the appropriation.
