Inspectors' reports: permit renewals, Hard Truth Hills rezone not yet filed, comprehensive-plan update requested

At the end of the Feb. 24 meeting Director Kayla Robertson briefed commissioners on inspection and permitting matters. Robertson said permits that remain on the list too long will need renewal; she noted Harmony Tree Resorts had already required a renewal. She also reported that state approvals for commercial buildings have been taking longer, causing delays.
Kara Hammes asked about a Heavy Timber Pavilion at Hard Truth Hills; Robertson said no rezone application had been filed and emphasized the building must not be used commercially until any rezone is approved. Robertson also said the Commissioners have not advanced the Comprehensive Plan and she will request a formal update from them. Separately, Needmore Grocery owner David Cridlin asked about steps to pursue business zoning for his property, which staff said was not currently zoned for business.
