The Prue Public Schools Board of Education voted unanimously on Jan. 12 to hire Craig Thurman as superintendent for the 2026–2027 school year. The motion to hire Craig Thurman was made by board member James Willcox and seconded by Deputy Clerk Heather Jordan; the minutes record roll-call votes of Yes from President Tracy Troutman, Vice President Bethanie Horton, Clerk Caitlyn Owens, Deputy Clerk Heather Jordan and Member James Willcox.
The vote followed an executive-session period earlier in the meeting. The board also approved the January 2025 Activity Fund Report and the January 2025 Treasurer's Report at the same meeting. The minutes list the hiring motion and the financial approvals in sequence and record unanimous votes on each item.
