At the meeting the treasurer reported that the district has about $560,000 deposited at Nevada Bank and Trust and that revenue is projecting near 100% while expenses are at roughly 75% of budgeted amounts. "We've got about 560,000 in the Nevada Bank and Trust," the treasurer said, framing the figures ahead of an in-depth budget meeting planned for Jan. 22.
The treasurer walked the board through the accounts receivable aging. One small licensee (Albino) is making regular $600 monthly payments; Elko Broadcasting has missed one or two months but has recently made larger payments (about $1,250 in recent months); staff said Nevada Gold Mines has been difficult to reach and that a new contact requested invoices by email and has not responded. The board then voted to ratify outstanding bills totaling $37,581.98; staff noted a wire transfer to one vendor had bounced and would be resubmitted after correcting the bank information.
