Planning staff introduces new planner, reports utility letters on prior right-of-way item

During staff updates, Corey introduced Ian Collier, who has been with the Planning & Zoning Department for about a month and will fill in at meetings when needed. Commissioners welcomed Collier.
Corey also updated the commission on a prior right-of-way vacation for Weber that the commission recommended denying in October. He said he solicited comment and obtained letters from NV Energy, Frontier Communications and Zedo Media stating they had no issues with the vacation. Corey cautioned the commission that the Board of County Commissioners might take a different view when the item goes before them, despite the lack of utility objections. He encouraged the commission to expect the county commission may act independently on the matter.
