Staff says AB519 matching funds are available; district can request increases if bids exceed estimates

Cassandra Stolke (S6) said, “we initially applied for the full amount,” and explained that staff can go back to request increments if needed.
Stolke said the award has been approved in principle and that the district was finalizing the award agreement with the state, which staff hoped to receive by the end of the week. The panel asked for clarity in future materials on how AB519 matching dollars are allocated to specific projects and whether state matches will fully cover overages when final bids arrive.
