Trustee Maycomber and Anne Ritter of the Friends discussed signage requirements tied to the Friends’ lease amendment, which requires library director and mayoral review to ensure signs fit the premises' aesthetic. Ritter said she has discussed prototypes with the city clerk and that the Friends will deliver mockups for approval and work with Steve on sizing, fonts and colors so quick spot-sale changes can be made consistently.
Ritter also said the Friends and city staff will discuss a permanent wall sign behind the everyday book-sale space; she expects meetings with city staff and the mayor in late December or January to finalize approval. The board confirmed no formal action by trustees was required at this meeting; the Friends will follow up with the city to obtain approvals.
