Elko CAB backs FY2026 predation management plan as NDOW signals budget tightening

"That's best case scenario...that's what you hope for," Roberts said, adding that NDOW faces logistical limits and must balance livestock and other priorities. A motion to support the FY2026 predation-management plan carried by voice vote.
Members asked for future evaluation options, including study designs to measure survival changes and effectiveness. NDOW staff acknowledged the need for better monitoring and said harvest-location data and collaring efforts are being used to refine project placement and season timing.
