Council accepts election canvass; adopts several annexation ordinances and approves Darktrace contract

The City Council accepted the Ada County canvass of the Nov. 4, 2025 general election results. City staff reported the top vote getters for the local election: Nancy Merrill received 3,496 votes and Robert Gillis received 3,281 votes; the council formally accepted the canvass and will swear the winners in in January.
On ordinance business, council waived the three‑reading rule and adopted several annexation and rezone ordinances by title, including an annexation and rezone ordinance for Centra Subdivision (Ordinance 959a) and Flicker Point Subdivision (Ordinance 960). Separately, council approved a master services agreement between the city and Darktrace after staff incorporated attorney‑requested modifications (statutory notations and Idaho jurisdiction references) and authorized the mayor to sign once the changes are made.
The council’s actions were procedural but set in motion development approvals and a contract that staff said had been reviewed by legal counsel.
