The Gooding County Ambulance District, meeting as part of the county commissioners session on March 2, approved the purchase and installation of a cord reel for the fourth ambulance bay at a cost of $1,942.00 to be paid from the grounds and maintenance budget. Commissioner Vern Eames moved to approve the purchase and Commissioner Ronald Buhler seconded; the motion carried.
Director Kepler also reported that White Cloud is offering handheld radios at $300 each but asked for more time to see whether the ambulance budget can absorb that cost; the commissioners asked Kepler to seek an extension on the estimate while they evaluate funding. Commissioners also asked Kepler to investigate whether other counties might be interested in purchasing the district's older ambulances; Commissioner Eames said he would look into possible listing websites.
