Board members reviewed the contract for law enforcement services between Wagoner County and the Town of Porter. Board member Norma Meyer said she does not believe the Town is getting what it is paying for under the contract.
Mayor Steve Dickey told the board the contract originally was intended to secure extra help from the sheriff’s department but that the Town was not currently receiving that additional assistance. The board agreed to place the contract review on the agenda for the next meeting for further consideration; the minutes do not record a formal motion or vote on changing the contract at this meeting.
