Dinwiddie honors Cooperative Extension agent Michael J. Parrish and recognizes local farmers

The clerk read the resolution into the record noting Parrish began service in Dinwiddie in 1996 and had supported local agriculture, youth programs and extension outreach for thirty years. The board voted to adopt the resolution unanimously.
Earlier in the meeting Parrish presented certificates recognizing a number of family farms for 30 years of volunteer service to Extension, citing their contributions to research plots, farm day events and educational activities. Parrish said he will retire and cited family reasons and a new grandchild.
