Kevin Massengill, county administrator, presented a two‑part contract with Virginia Tech to produce an economic base analysis and develop a strategic plan for Dinwiddie County. "Dinwiddie County was selected by Virginia Tech to do a two part study... their rate of 125,000 to do this work," Massengill said, and he described the lead researchers and the planned community engagement. The board moved, seconded and approved the resolution by roll call with all voting aye.
Supervisors and staff said the work will inform revenue and budget discussions and help shape long‑term county decisions on development and services.
