Brightpoint president reports enrollment gains and workforce training that raised wages for credential completers

"Our fall enrollment is 10 was 10,200 students. It was an increase of 8.71%," Dr. Fiji said, and he noted the college offers more than 80 majors and workforce programs through the Community College Workforce Alliance (CCWA). He also said that Brightpoint's data shows wages for students who complete CCWA credentials increased by about 50% after program completion.
Dr. Fiji told the board Brightpoint provides strong dual‑enrollment options for Dinwiddie students and cited that roughly 19 Dinwiddie high‑school‑age students were expected to complete Brightpoint credentials this spring. He added tuition is about "$170 per credit hour" and that the college offers significant financial aid so fewer than one‑in‑five students seek loans.
Board members thanked the college for local pathways and discussed continuing outreach and tours for supervisors and staff.
