Commissioners appoint Nash Hall as Potter County veteran service officer

The commissioners voted 4–0 to appoint Nash Hall as a veteran service officer for Potter County, following a staff presentation about the Veterans Resource Center and available grant funding.
County veterans staff told the court that the TVFA grant provides funding for multiple positions and that Nash, currently a veteran navigator, brings experience connecting people to services. "I've worked with...Children's Protective Services as an investigator, as well as work with homeless, mentally ill," Nash told the court when asked about his background. Staff said they would seek a letter to request Nash’s crediting from the TVC and work with the county judge to complete required paperwork.
Commissioners thanked staff and emphasized the county’s need for veteran services access outside Amarillo. The appointment passed unanimously; staff and the judge will coordinate to secure any necessary accreditation or credentialing paperwork with the Texas Veterans Commission.
