Commission approves K-9 retirement and surplus vehicle sales; EMA vehicle auction shifted to Bradley Equipment

On Sept. 10 the Coosa County Commission unanimously approved retiring K-9 Lino and donating the animal to the current K-9 handler at the request of Hometown Foundation. Commissioner Brandon Davis moved the retirement and donation and the motion carried without objection.
The commission also authorized the sheriff’s department to remove two vehicles from inventory — a 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe (VIN 1GNLC2E08CR258248, asset#: 701038, Pistol Permit Fund) and a 2015 Dodge Charger (VIN 12C3CDXKT7FH766026, asset#: 700748, Sheriff's budget line item 560) — and sell them through Bradley Equipment Auction in Kellyton. Separately, the commission approved switching the previously approved auction platform for an EMA vehicle from GovDeals to Bradley Equipment Auction.
