Commission approves multiple department contracts, including correctional health and software support

Commissioner John Forbus moved on Sept. 10 to approve a package of department contracts covering equipment and service agreements. The motion approved Royal Office Equipment contracts for multiple county offices (Highway, Probate/Tag office, Revenue Commission mapping/appraisal, Sheriff, Commission office), DataWorks Plus for the sheriff's department, Quality Correctional Health Care (QCHC, Inc.) to provide jail health services, LETS & SNAP for inmate services, and Southern Software support agreements covering the jail management system, records management & Rambler (DSN), Detention Center Network, Quartermaster HRMS, Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), alpha-numeric paging and biometric scanning.
The motion passed unanimously. The approvals formalize ongoing service relationships and software maintenance arrangements for the sheriff’s office and jail operations; contract terms and start dates were recorded as October 1, 2024–September 30, 2025 for the Royal Office Equipment contracts where specified in the minutes.
