Planning staff presented a rezoning request (PL-26-064) to change a parcel on East Overbrook Road from single-family to residential multifamily for the construction of a quadplex to be rented to individuals aged 55 and older. The planning commission recommended approval and described the request as generally consistent with the comprehensive plan.
Applicant Jonathan Bobby and partner described experience operating hospice homes and said the quadplex would provide small, two-bedroom units with common areas and on-call service linked to their adjacent hospice facility. The applicant said the units would be built to ADA standards and operate on a private-pay model. No opposition was offered during the hearing and the board voted to approve the rezoning.
