The Hall County Board of Tax Assessors met April 1, 2026, at the Hall County Government Center Building and approved routine business items including the minutes from March 18 and the published agenda. The board recorded five members present and approved both motions unanimously (minutes approved on a motion by Casey Ryals, seconded by Eric Jackson; agenda approved on a motion by Eric Jackson, seconded by Richard Higgins). All votes recorded in open session were 5-0.
The board adjourned into an executive session at 5:01 p.m. to discuss pending litigation and reconvened at 5:35 p.m.; staff and legal counsel attended the closed session, including Assistant County Attorney Nate Anderson and outside counsel Ali Sabzevari by phone. After reconvening the board continued with routine administrative business—approving lists of notices, conservation-use items, an exempt-application name change for Eagle Ranch Foundation (parcel #15042 000002), and personal-property and motor-vehicle notices—each by recorded 5-0 votes. Interim Chief Appraiser John Smith also noted he would be out of the office on the coming Friday and Monday.
