Registrar Lisa Cosby distributed the Election 2026 Task Schedule for the August 4, 2026 primary and said she will email calendar invites for pre-processing, CAP pre-processing, canvass, and provisional ballot meetings. She told the board that Charles City County will have only a Republican primary on that date.
The board also recorded that logic and accuracy testing for voting equipment is scheduled for June 8, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., and discussed operational items including ballot cuts, the need for three drop boxes, and staffing requirements for mailing voter notices in light of an impending office relocation.
