County requests meeting with Electoral Board on FY27 election costs, staffing and possible office move

On April 23, 2026, County Administrator Keith Rogers Jr. sent a letter asking to meet with the Electoral Board, the County Attorney (Jesse Bausch) and the Director of Finance (Crawley-Jones) to discuss FY27 election costs, staffing and a potential office relocation. Registrar Lisa Cosby responded with two available dates (May 6 and May 14) and asked that at least one Board of Supervisors member attend; the county had not responded by the May 4 meeting.
Board members recorded the request and the proposed response in the minutes; they did not take a formal vote on the relocation or on FY27 budget allocations at the May 4 meeting. The minutes set an administrative deadline for completing updates to the April minutes and instructed that those updates be uploaded no later than July 28, 2026, to keep records current as budget and schedule discussions proceed.
