The commission approved purchasing a two-bay covered garage for the county ambulance and rescue vehicle. Commissioner Bertha K. McElrath moved approval and Vice-Chair Brandon Davis seconded; the motion was recorded as unanimously approved.
The commission also approved holding a public hearing to discuss razing the building located beside the courthouse on May 27, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. and scheduled the county's limestone bid opening for May 27 at 7:30 p.m. The motions to set dates were recorded in the minutes and notices were prepared for publication and public posting.
EMA Assistant Director Les Sellers briefly discussed the county Hazard Mitigation Plan during the meeting; commissioners directed staff to include mitigation planning information in follow-up materials tied to the public hearing.
