Vice-Chair Brandon Davis moved and Commissioner John Forbus seconded approval to send annual bid solicitations for commonly used road materials: steel pipe, limestone, granite, liquid asphalt, gasoline and diesel fuel, and cement. The commission approved the action unanimously and set bids to be opened at the Sept. 9 meeting.
The minutes record the list of materials to be solicited but do not include estimated quantities, procurement timelines beyond the bid-opening date, or expected contract terms. County engineering staff will administer the bid process and report back at the September meeting.
