Coosa County approved a Financial Settlement Services addendum with GovDeals that governs how proceeds from online sales of surplus assets will be collected, verified and remitted.
The addendum, approved unanimously, requires winning buyers to pay GovDeals via PayPal, credit card or wire transfer and requires the seller (Coosa County) to confirm pickup in GovDeals’ Seller Asset Management system before proceeds are remitted. The document specifies that assets must be sold using a Bill of Sale noting the asset is "sold as is, where is and without warranty." The contract language also describes remittance by ACH/EFT and GovDeals’ process for handling chargebacks and refunds.
