Dale Johnson, assistant city manager for the City of Elko, briefed the commission on a series of pavement projects and said the city is considering payoff of the Idaho Street bond, reporting that the outstanding balance is approximately $3,300,000.
Johnson told commissioners the city will run a micro slurry program covering roughly 48 streets, pursue mill‑and‑fill design work and include multiple parking lots in this year's program. He said the city had no immediate plans to use diesel tax funds that are allocated to it. Commissioners thanked Johnson for the update and had no further questions.
The city’s plan to retire the Idaho Street bond was presented as part of its pavement and capital maintenance update; no formal action or request for RTC funds on that bond payoff was recorded during the meeting.
