The Town of Porter Board of Trustees voted to appoint a three‑person committee to oversee a town‑hall grounds beautification project and to spend $2,700 in donated funds on the effort.
Mayor Steve Dickey said, "since the trees have been removed, he would like to have a pavilion built over the picnic table," and the board approved a motion by Dickey to appoint Norma Meyer, Ava Hall and Kendra Moore to the committee; the motion was seconded by Kevin Walker and carried. The board then approved using the $2,700 in donations for the project by unanimous vote.
