Board renews multiple MOUs with mental‑health and youth services, declines one

Allison (speaker 13) presented a series of annual MOUs that provide in‑school behavioral health, grief support and services for students in foster care. The board approved renewal of the MOU with the Kentucky Center for Grieving Children and Families to continue grief‑support groups in schools for the 26–27 school year.
Staff reported Key Assets is no longer functioning; the board voted to not approve that MOU and asked staff to seek other agencies to fill the gap. The board approved continuation of an MOU with Mountain Comprehensive Care Center (staff reported the agency served roughly 250–300 students districtwide this year) and renewed agreements with New Vista, the National Youth Advocate Program and Resolutions Therapy Practice; one member abstained on New Vista and another abstained on the National Youth Advocate Program due to employment ties, and the motions otherwise carried.
Board members emphasized the value of in‑school services and asked staff to continue monitoring agency capacity and service levels.
