Wilkerson said the agency is proposing a modest 5% increase in local fares to offset higher operating costs and that a newly purchased bus, expected to arrive next month, will be branded as the Dinwiddie Express. “This service is vital,” Wilkerson told the board, and she said staff will pursue grant opportunities for new bus‑stop signage and related capital needs. Supervisors asked about stop locations and expressed appreciation for the service; no formal vote was taken on the funding request in this meeting.
