Steuben County authorizes up to $75,000 for Bath Community Health building renovations

Eric of Buildings and Grounds told the committee the county is seeking authorization to spend up to $75,000 from a capital-project account to renovate the Bath Community Health building. "We're requesting to spend up to $75,000 to complete these projects," Eric said, listing layout changes, door replacements, ceiling and lighting work, electrical upgrades and networking and carpet replacement.
Staff said the work will create an internal administrative suite on the second floor to free up small conference spaces and provide private offices for roughly six case managers and two therapists. Eric also described window tinting at the Hornell community building to address heat gain. Committee members asked about the need and staffing; Kelly noted the improvements could increase clinical capacity and reduce waiting lists. The committee voted in favor and the motion carried.
