Vernon County Commission schedules township meeting, discusses downtown and city coordination

Commissioners set administrative and intergovernmental items on the Feb. 4 agenda. They scheduled the annual township meeting for Monday, April 21 from 5:00–7:00 p.m. and will send a Save-the-Date memo to all 20 townships.
Commissioner Joe Wilson relayed information from a Downtown Association Board meeting he attended and reported he called Gary Edwards to arrange a meeting with city and county officials, tentatively set for Monday, Feb. 24 in the evening. Commissioner Cindy Thompson presented a to-do list of items to be accomplished by the Commission in 2025. The Commission also reviewed and approved invoices and signed checks as routine financial business.
These items were recorded as administrative business; staff follow-up is needed to circulate the township memo, finalize the city–county meeting logistics and implement the Commission’s to-do list.
