The Allen County Board of Finance convened at 10:02 a.m. and unanimously elected Commissioner Richard E. Beck Jr. as president following motions by Therese M. Brown and Ronald W. Turpin. Allen County Treasurer Samantha Chenery reviewed the county's 2025 investment activity, including the list of financial institutions used, prevailing bank interest rates, funds that received interest, and the Top Ten and overall interest earned in 2025.
After the presentation, the board adopted the county's 2026 Investment Policy in a 3-0 vote. Board members also approved a separate administrative change to the drainage board drain maintenance fund: the fund will now retain interest and distribute it proportionally among the various drain items, a procedural shift the board approved without objection. The Board of Finance meeting closed at 10:17 a.m.
