The Allen County Drainage Board approved multiple administrative actions Feb. 5: year-end transfers between the Drain Maintenance Fund and the General Drain Improvement Fund for 2025 (Doc #26-023), and a request to make $25,000 previously allocated to Menard's in the Maria Flaugh Unit available for any needed maintenance work in that unit (Doc #26-024). ACSO recommended approval for both actions and the motions carried on board votes.
ACSO’s representative, Allen County Surveyor Michael Fruchey, explained there is now a periodic maintenance schedule for the Maria Flaugh Unit and that staff will address maintenance on a progressive schedule. "We will keep the drain clean whenever it needs to be on a progressive schedule," Fruchey said. The board also set a public hearing for the Calvin Crow Drain reconstruction for March 5, 2026 (Doc #26-022).
