CID approves segregation of special assessments as subdivision lots are platted
Summary
Board adopted a resolution authorizing segregation of certain special assessments in Assessment Area No. 1 so assessments can be allocated to individual platted lots as phases are recorded.
The board approved Resolution 2025-R07 to authorize segregation of certain special assessments in Assessment Area No. 1 to reflect future lot platting. Bond counsel explained that when the special assessment area was created the parcels were larger and that, as lots are platted into phases, the assessments are removed from the larger parcel and allocated among individual platted parcels.
"So as those lots get platted into phases of the subdivision, then we take that assessment off the larger parcel and divvy those out amongst the divided parcels," bond counsel said, describing the administrative purpose of the resolution. Chair moved to approve the resolution; a second was received and the board voted 'Aye.'
The resolution also includes conforming changes to the assessment roll and a limited period for legal actions as described in the motion language presented to the board.
