Staff reports sign-offs on minor EDU site modifications; more EV projects expected

City planning staff updated commissioners on several small EDU projects that were administratively approved in recent months, including elevator additions, generator installations and demolitions that do not expand building footprints. "I signed off on minor site modifications," the staff member said, noting that none of the approvals expanded a site's footprint and that no intensification of use was involved.
Staff also told the panel there are more EV-related projects expected to come before the commission in coming months and flagged one temporary parking/cleanup activity for a property across the street from the site formerly used as a garage. Commissioners asked staff to monitor construction hours and potential noise impacts, with staff reiterating that major noise concerns would be handled according to the construction schedule and relevant permitting.
