Justice Court moves to Tyler e‑filing and electronic warrant system; commissioners approve contracts

Christina Mortensen, representing Elko Justice Court, explained the court will switch to Tyler Technologies modules to integrate e‑filing and an electronic warrant workflow directly into the county's case management system. "Currently, we have Tibera, which is run through the state. It's not integrated with our case management system. So we're gonna move over to Tyler, which will go right into our system," Mortensen said.
Mortensen described the EZWarrant module as an electronic search‑warrant system that allows officers to enter documents, notify on‑call judges and obtain electronic signatures within a single integrated workflow. Commissioners confirmed the modules will be paid from civil filing fees and approved both contracts after staff confirmed the funding mechanism. The board recorded the motions carried.
