Fulton County commissioners continue first hearing on Ditch No. 2154 to March 10

The Fulton County Board of County Commissioners voted on Feb. 19, 2026 to continue the first hearing on Single County Ditch No. 2154 to March 10, 2026 at 9:15 a.m. The continuation gives the Fulton County Agricultural Society time to review and vote on a proposed landowner agreement at its March 5 meeting.

County staff member Lincoln told the board that a mutual agreement between affected parties is under discussion and asked whether the board preferred to hold the full first hearing that day or continue it to allow the agreement to be finalized. Commissioner Joe Short said, “since we have people in attendance today, he would like to give them an opportunity to speak today if they want to voice any concerns,” and opened the floor to testimony; no members of the public spoke during the session.

The board adopted Resolution 2026-136 to continue the hearing. Commissioner Jeff Rupp moved the resolution and Commissioner Joe Short seconded. The meeting record notes the motion passed 2-0 and schedules the continued hearing for March 10, 2026 at 9:15 a.m. in the commissioners’ office at 152 S. Fulton Street, Suite 270, Wauseon.

The resolution cites Revised Code, Sec. 6131.10 in its header and states the continuance was granted to allow the Agricultural Society, a landowner on the proposed improvement, time to consider a landowner agreement at their March 5 meeting.
