The Town of Windsor Selectboard voted Jan. 28 to approve a General Fund budget of $7,359,940 for presentation to voters at Town Meeting. During discussion, members and the Budget Committee raised concerns about tax increases and potential pressures from school taxes; Budget Committee member C. McNaughton referenced constraints tied to state land-use decisions (ACT 250) that she said have limited revenue growth for decades.
E. Caffrey moved to approve the $7,359,940 General Fund budget and J. Johnson seconded; the board recorded a unanimous roll-call vote to adopt the budget for the warning. The budget will appear on the Town Meeting warning and be available in the official Town Meeting materials distributed before the March 2, 2026 meeting.
