Students from Wickland Elementary — accompanied by Principal Duran and teacher Mrs. Volmer — spoke to trustees about ASB activities designed to build school spirit and student engagement. Achud Nair (an ASB leader) introduced the ASB committee leaders and students described the PBIS store and the "splash‑a‑thon" fundraiser.
A student presenter described recent activities and events: "Our biggest fundraiser is called splash a thon where we have students sign up to have fun activities..." Principal Duran and trustees thanked the students for their presentation and highlighted athletic achievements — the volleyball team won first place in the district and the academic teams earned awards. Trustees encouraged students to continue innovating and acknowledged the role of staff in supporting these programs.
The presentation was part of the meeting’s opening agenda; trustees invited the students to remain for the rest of the meeting or return to their families when dismissed.
