Ottawa County commissioners approve minutes, enter executive session and approve travel requests

The Board of Ottawa County Commissioners met Feb. 10, 2026, and began by approving the minutes of the Feb. 5 meeting. Commissioner Donald A. Douglas moved approval of the minutes and Commissioner Mark E. Coppeler seconded; Commissioners Mark W. Stahl, Donald A. Douglas and Mark E. Coppeler voted yes on the motion.
Later in the morning the board voted to enter an executive session at 9:31 a.m. under Ohio Revised Code Section 121.22(G)(1) to discuss the employment of public employees. The board returned to open session at 9:55 a.m.; both the motion to enter and the motion to return were moved by Commissioner Douglas and seconded by Commissioner Coppeler and were approved by the board. The commissioners also approved requests for travel expenses during the same series of procedural votes.
