Board approves Chef Anne Foundation worksite agreement and authorizes new food‑service buyer position

"This was a popular grant that provided training to our food service team," Superintendent Dr. Nicholas said, and staff returned the item for full board approval to formalize the second round of pre‑interns.
Trustee Pambo moved to approve the worksite agreement with the Chef Anne Foundation and Trustee Daniels seconded; the board approved the agreement unanimously. Later, Dr. Nicholas explained growth in the district’s food service operations had created the need for a dedicated food service buyer. He praised current purchasing staff and recommended a new unrepresented classified job description and salary effective Feb. 1, 2025. Trustees moved and unanimously approved the new position.
Board discussion was limited and focused on the need to expand personnel and training to match the scaling of meal service as enrollment grows. Both approvals were routine votes on staff recommendations and carried 5–0 with the student preferential vote.
