Trustee Colin Clements announces resignation after 10 years on board

Trustee Colin Clements, who has served on the Lammersville Joint Unified School District board for 10 years, announced he will tender his resignation next week after accepting a position in Roseville.
Clements reflected on a decade of district growth and accomplishments, including enrollment growth from about 3,500 to nearly 8,000 students, passage of a $50 million bond and construction of several new campuses. "For this reason and way more than a little bit of sadness, I will be tendering my resignation as a board trustee," he said.
Superintendent Dr. Nicholas presented governing board resolution 24-25-9 to open a provisional-appointment process for the at-large seat. The resolution sets a two-week application window with applications due Friday, Nov. 1, 2024; a subcommittee will screen applicants and the board will interview three finalists at a special meeting on Nov. 13, 2024. The board approved the resolution unanimously.
Trustees thanked Clements for his service and expressed support for a smooth transition. The board will publicize the application through district channels and return with finalists for interview as scheduled.
