The Jackson County Board of Commissioners approved the minutes of its Jan. 28, 2025 meeting and authorized payroll in the amount of $597,472.86 and claims totaling $4,392,546.51. Commissioner Matt Reedy moved to approve both the minutes and the payroll/claims; motions carried on three yes votes each.
The board also approved several routine items by unanimous votes, including Peer Recovery Specialist contracts for Community Corrections, a QCC contract referenced in the January jail report, and event permits for the Easter Egg Hunt (April 19, rain date April 26) and the Bike Rodeo (May 17). Commissioners moved the March 4 meeting to March 11 and deferred paving-bid action to that March meeting.
