Zoning Administrator Josh Falk reported the Planning Commission approved a Conditional Use Permit renewal for Vincent and Theda Marier to establish a rental property at 13048 Harveyville Road, Harveyville, and approved a Conditional Use Permit for Mark Murray and Carly Burkdoll to establish a short‑term rental at 140 Cedar Circle in Alma. Falk said he will draft regulation changes to allow small campgrounds (fewer than 10 slots) fewer requirements than larger campgrounds, citing that current rules do not scale for smaller operations.
Commissioners also noted haul route fees have been contentious; Falk said he will revisit calculations to possibly include transportation to processing yards. No Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for March; proposed zoning changes will return for review when drafted.
