Royal City details wastewater treatment plant upgrades as part of capital plan

At the Feb. 18 special session, Anderson Perry described planned improvements to Royal City's wastewater treatment plant, including a new influent lift station, new headworks, expansion of the AeroMod treatment system, an operations building expansion, sludge drying bed rehabilitation and new dewatered solids storage.
Hollopeter also listed electrical and control system improvements, site improvements and a sewer collection plan. He provided an estimated combined cost for design and construction of $12–15 million and advised the city could pursue design funding in October 2025. Councilmembers heard the update and no public comment was recorded.
