Register of Deeds Jerica Holt asked the Jackson County Board of County Commissioners to approve two purchases to be funded from her book-binding account. The board approved purchase order 6998 for $10,380.95 to buy 13 index books and a container of index paper and purchase order 7000 for $1,781.80 to buy four record book binders and four reams of paper; both motions carried 3/0.
Holt said the purchases would be covered by existing book-binding funds in her office budget. Commissioners voted unanimously to approve both orders during the March 23 meeting; the actions were recorded as motions and carried 3/0.
