Finance Director Janice Flynn told the council the city should consider hiring a third-party specialist to complete a water and sewer utility rate study to determine future rates that reflect system needs and planned upgrades. Public Works Director Curt Carpenter agreed with the recommendation and said he will contact Anderson Perry to determine likely timeframes and costs for the study.
